BLACKBOARD BACK-UP CHECKLIST

Note: Check back for Bb9 updates.

Have you backed up lately?  Even though ISAS backs up the Blackboard system, why take chances?  Back up your Blackboard files as shown below.  (Click the links to view and print instructions.) Backing up takes only a couple of minutes--or less.  If you have trouble backing up, drop by CETLA for hands-on help during the Open Lab hours posted on our calendar at http://www.cetla.howard.edu/workshops/calendars.html.

 

WHAT?	HOW?*	HOW OFTEN?
Grades	Download Gradebook	when you finish entering a set of grades
Entire Site (including student data)	Archive Course	at the beginning, middle, and end of the  term
Tests & Surveys (question pools)	Export via Pool Manager	as soon as you create a test or survey
Survey results	Download Results	as soon as you close the survey
Assignments	Download Assignment	as soon as the assignments are due
