The scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL) overlaps teaching and research practices. Moreover, it is intended to make students and their learning the priority in the instructional context. Howard University being a comprehensive, research intensive university values research in its teaching practices to continue producing leaders for America and the global community. As such CETLA encourages faculty to identify a line of inquiry, collect and analyze data, and share findings with peers. CETLA offers an array of professional development that promote SoTL.
