Anita Nahal, Ph.D.

March 8, 2005

Dr. Anita Nahal is Coordinator of the International Affairs and Women's Studies Programs at Howard University’s Graduate School, where she also team-teaches in the Graduate Certificate Program. Although she hails from India, her career has bridged many cultures. For instance, she has been an Associate Professor of History at the University of Delhi, India, a Visiting Scholar at the University of California at Berkeley, and a Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence at the State University of New York at Binghamton. She is also an International Contributing Editor for the Journal of American History and the author of three books, including US Policy Toward Egypt 1953-58, A Reappraisal. As a program coordinator at Howard, she has helped the University bridge cultures by bringing in funding to collaborate with Chiang Mai University in Thailand and Jadavpur University in India—and by organizing the guest panel for this video.
