Professor Alayan is an Assistant Professor and Law Library Director at Howard Law as well as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Georgetown. Her areas of expertise include legal research instruction, foreign and international legal research, legal information literacy, and library outreach. She is an active member of regional, national, and international law library associations and has served in various leadership positions. She is currently the President for the Law Librarians' Society of Washington, D.C. and Board Member of the International Association of Law Libraries (IALL). Professor Alayan has spoken on a variety of topics, including legal research instruction, leadership, and professional development. Last year, she received the American Association of Law Libraries Emerging Leader Award.
